Fans of the Fallout series have been waiting seven long years for the next installment of the beloved apocalypse series. Earlier this year, Bethesda revealed all the juicy details at its 2015 E3 press conference for the latest addition to their prestigious Fallout franchise. Fallout 4 will have many new features such as building your own base and having control over your companion, Dogmeat. If you haven’t seen the E3 reveal yet, click here for a link to the video.
On their official website, Bethesda.net, it was announced that Fallout 4 season pass was confirmed and it will be selling for only $30. Details on what exactly the DLC content will be were not revealed at that time. However, it was confirmed that whatever Bethesda releases for DLC content will be worth over $40 separately. [blockquote cite=”Bethesda.net”]Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.[/blockquote]
Bethesda also announced that there will be regular updates for their upcoming RPG and how mods will be included in the game. Bethesda confirms that they will be continuously updating and patching the game when it comes out. “We’ll work with all of you to figure out what new things you’d love to see added to Fallout 4, whether they are small tweaks or new features.”
During the E3 reveal trailer, Bethesda made many fans happy by announcing that the latest Fallout will have support for mods across all systems. On their website, it was revealed that sometime next year, Bethesda will be releasing a free creation tool kit (the same kit that the developers use to create the game) to the fans so that they may create their own unique mods. [blockquote cite=”Bethesda.net”]Early next year we’ll release for free the new Creation Kit for the PC. This is the same tool we use in the studio. You’ll be able to create your own mods and share them with others. We’re especially excited these same mods will then be coming to Xbox One, and then PlayStation 4.[/blockquote]
Fallout 4 will be released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 November 10, 2015.
