Fallout 4 Score Gets an Exclusive Vinyl Collection

Fallout 4

Any wasteland wanderers with a soft spot for vinyl collecting in the house? This is your lucky day as Bethesda has announced a very special, limited-edition of Fallout 4 original score.

It’s time to jump right inside the sounds of our last wasteland adventure. Videogame soundtracks have become as intrinsic valuable as gameplay mechanics or last graphic advancements. We remember them, we go back to them and they probably make us miss the same very feelings we had when playing this or that title. In that way, they have long made it to the stores as complements to our favorite games.

What it’s a little bit harder to see in the merchandising scene nowadays are dazzling sets of vinyls, that old standby. But nothing is too vintage for Fallout 4, right?

Fallout 4 Goes Classy

Bethesda has prepared a very special gift for all those vinyl lovers who would like to have the full Fallout 4 original soundtrack in their possession. It’s so special that it’s coming currently limited to 3,000 sets (at least for now). It runs with a price of 125$ and you can totally pre-order it already. Deliveries will start on July 1st.

Just for the sake of clarification, we are talking here about the original soundtrack of the game. Do not confuse it with the licensed music that you can listen on the in-game radio stations. However, this is not a light quantity of music at all: a total of six vinyls cover the 65-track score, which amounts to more than three and a half hours. Plenty of time to head out there with your doggy and lose yourself and probably die to legendary robots from the Automatron DLC.

Fallout 4 original soundtrack was composed by seasoned videogame composer Inon Zur. His relationship with Bethesda has been rather fruitful during the last year: he was also the mastermind behind the score for both Fallout 3 and Obsidian Entertainment’s spin-off Fallout: New Vegas. He’s also been behind the orchestration for games such as Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, Dragon’s Dogma, Crysis, Prince of Persia, and even more. His repertoire is quite prolific!

If you do not have that maniac, soft spot for vinyls but you would still like to venture into Fallout 4’s evocative music, you can certainly visit the free apocalyptic music buffet below and start wandering.
