With 62 years until the Fallout’s Great War begins and just 17 days until release, Fallout 4 has finally been completed and prepped for release.
In the Fallout universe, October 23rd is a special day. A dark day, a terrible one, but a special one nonetheless. On October 23rd, 2077, the Great War, a full bore nuclear conflict between the United States and China, after years of armed conflict, that eventually caused the entire world to fire their nuclear weapons as well, began and ended in a matter of hours. The world was destroyed – civilization torn asunder, nations obliterated, billions of people killed or worse.
That day is where this entry in the legend of the Wasteland begins, just hours before the apocalypse. 200 years later is when your Sole Survivor walks out of Vault 111. And in our world, it’s when the fourth Fallout was completed – today.
Bethesda confirmed the news today via Twitter:
Oct 23rd – the bombs have fallen. Fallout 4 is complete. All 27 versions. pic.twitter.com/AwkWOoTEgt

All gift-wrapped, and ready to fall like the bombs of old. Just, you know, 62 years ahead of time, and not actually nuclear bombs, thankfully.
Fallout 4 is a mere 17 days away, as it prepares for release on November 10, 2015 worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. You can see some of our coverage of its gameplay mechanics here and here, and a feature on the perils and promise Fallout 4 contains here.
