Ever been interested in the world of taxidermy? Well AMC's got you covered! AMC’s Immortalized showcases all the intricacy that is involved in the art of creative taxidermy. In each episode, one of four highly regarded “Immortalizers” will be featured as they face a challenger in a competition to create an artistic piece which will be judged based on the criteria of originality, and interpretation of the designated theme.
It's billed as "competitive taxidermy," and believe it or not, there's an audience out there for it. In each episode, there will be an established "Immortalizer" who will face off against a Challenger who's trying to prove that they can also create unique and compelling pieces. The four famed Immortalizers, Beverly, Dave Houser, Page Nethercutt and Takeshi Yamada, stake their pride on the line and to beat the Challengers and impress the judges.
Both the Immortalizers and the Challengers will be judged on three components: originality, craftsmanship and interpretation of the designated theme. Each artist brings their own ideas and styles to apply to the creations that will then be presented to be judged, and a winner will be declared.
Immortalized airs on Thursdays at 10/9c, only on AMC.
