EVO 2017 Lineup Confirmed

EVO 2017

With all this news about Tekken 7 and Injustice 2, it only seems right to finally have the official EVO 2017 lineup be announced.

During a Twitch livestream on the 24th, details were given regarding the eight games to be seen in competition at EVO 2017, as well as a player vote for one final game to enter the roster.

The eight confirmed games for EVO include Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros Wii U, Super Smash Bros Melee, Guilty Gear xrd 2, Blaz Blue: Central Fiction, Tekken 7, & Injustice 2.

The player vote games available with a charity donation via Generosity include ARMS, Killer Instinct, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Windjammers, Pokken Tournament, Mortal Kombat XL, Skullgirls, Nidhogg, & Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

For those of you new to the e-Sports scene, EVO is the worlds largest fighting game tournament. The top gamers around their world put their skills to the test in various games beloved by the fighting game community. The top eight competitors win a prize pool split between them while the rest leave with nothing but a high five. Seriously! It says as much in the EVO FAQ.

For those who have never experienced the excitement of watching a fighting tournament, here is one of my favorite finals match ups from last years competition.

If you liked what you saw, EVO 2017 will be taking place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas between July 14th & 16th. Spectator passes are sold on site for $40 a day.

What do you guys think about the games lineup for EVO 2017? What are you going to be placing your vote towards? Let us know in the comments below and remember for everything e-Sports be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Twitch @ The Game Fanatics!
