The scene is set in Shropshire, England during June 1984 –a June where mankind no longer exists. The story, which drives the game, begins when man has ended their worldly reign, and unfolds in The Chinese Room’s signature way; open world exploration.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture feats six main characters, each with their own story lines, tied to respective and evolving landmarks, and influencing events throughout the game. Rapture will also not abide to the original 60-minutes time limit originally planned per playthrough.

You’ll have to wait to play The Chinese Room’s newest creation as Dan Pinchbeck said, “Rapture actually wasn’t ever slated for a 2014 release –we’re still very early in development. So we can confirm it’s not going to be out this year. As soon as we do have a launch window, we’ll let you know.”
