The first competitive tournament on the Xbox One will be held in Los Angeles, California March 28 – 30 with the world’s best Call of Duty: Ghosts teams competing. This tournament will hold a $1 million prize pool for the ultimate competition in next gen eSports.Activision, Infinity Ward and Xbox partner up with the Major League of Gaming for the ultimate championship competition this March in LA. The tournament will have 32 of the best Call of Duty teams from around the globe playing Ghosts on the Xbox One as they battle for the million dollar prize pool. The winners will win the right to be called “Call of Duty World Champions” and split the million dollar purse prize.
“Last year’s championship came down to the final minute of the final match with everyone holding their breath to see who would win. The skill, passion and energy brought by these teams and the crowd looking-on showed just what makes our community the best in the world,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing. “Call of Duty is more than a video game. It’s a pastime shared by millions. It’s exciting to play and fun to watch, and we can’t wait to see what this year’s event has in store.”
