Even if you’ve seen Video Games Live before, see it again, especially if you’re attending this years Electronic Entertainment Expo. If you haven’t, I highly suggest you go. This year’s performance of Video Games Live at E3 is set to be an adventure for your ears and then some.
As previously mentioned, Tommy Tallarico will be adding pieces from Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Diablo 3, Mists of Panadria, Earthworm Jim, Journey and Star Fox to the mix. You’ve still got music from Chrono Trigger/Cross, Halo, World of Warcraft, Sonic and much, much more. Fans will be even be able to interact with the performance by texting in what they want to hear. The music is for the fans of video games, so why not get them more involved than ever before?
Not only will great video game music fill your ears, Tommy Tallarico is bringing in great minds and composers as well. One of which will be Lindsey Stirling, the violinist that takes hip hop and video game tracks to a new dimension of awesomeness. Her and Peter Hollens (of NBC’s The Sing Off) recently came together to do a mix piece from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Joining her will be Martin Leung (The Video Game Pianist who no stranger to Video Games Live), Viking Jesus (heavy metal guitarist) and Laura “Flute Link”.
Prizes will be given out before, after and during that include laptops, SSD drives and of course, video games.
As always, there will be a meet and greet after the show and this one is set to be bigger and better than most, with over 110 musicians on the grand stage, you’re bound to meet at least one that you admire.
