Yoshi gets his own game! Nintendo shows off a trailer at E3 2014 for Yoshi’s Woolly World.
In what almost constitutes as a spiritual successor to Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Nintendo has unveiled new information about Yoshi’s Woolly World. The whole environment within the game is made out of yarn, as is our main character Yoshi and is probably the most adorable thing on show so far at E3 2014.
Yoshi’s Woolly World will be a side scrolling puzzle platformer, not unlike most other Mario universe titles, and sharing some similar traits to Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Sony’s Little Big Planet. It will also feature a co-operative mode which will allow two players to help each other through obstacles and tough situations. With this advantage you can use your partner as a stepping stone to cross gaps and environmental hazards, but also by swallowing and then launching each other to travel previously unreachable areas.
“It’s about a textured look and we wanted to give the world a handmade feel… this game should bring a smile to your face just by owning it” – Nintendo
Yoshi’s Woolly World is scheduled for release on the Wii U, but no more specific date was given at E3 besides ‘2015.’
