E3 2014 | Far Cry 4 Gameplay

E3 2014‘s Sony press conference brought a look at Far Cry 4 gameplay, different from that which was shown at Ubisoft’s conference.

The E3 gameplay features a new setting compared to Far Cry 3, with classic Far Cry elements thrown in the mix. Descending down a rocky path, the player comes up onto a fortress of enemies. This part of the video showcases some classic Far Cry mechanics, along with new one as well. These new features include the ability to plant C4 on a barrel, throw the barrel, then detonate it on the enemies below, as well as the ability to shoot enemies as you drive a vehicle. We also get to see the wing suit in action as well as a variety of different guns as the player takes over a fortress.

Far Cry 4 will be available November 18 and is now available for pre-order.

Here is the gameplay shown during Far Cry‘s portion of E3.
