E3 2012 | Lego City Undercover Sneaks onto the Wii U and 3DS

Nintendo showed off a new Lego title for both home and handheld consoles during their E3 2012 press conference.

Lego City Undercover is an open world adventure title and will be coming to the Wii U and 3DS. Players take up the role of Chase McCain as he fights crime using various vehicles, gadgets and disguises. The game also features a neat ability to scan the environment for hidden criminals using the Wii U Gamepad.

The trailer that was shown conveyed a typical Lego charm and got an audible cheer from the crowd in attendance. It’s worth watching for the Lego nut-shot alone.

There aren’t any firm release dates yet, but we do know that both versions of the game are being developed by Lego experts Traveler’s Tales.

Check out the full trailer below.
