The mutant offspring of Dead Island that is Dying Light celebrates its half year anniversary, and showcases a future content release.
Techland celebrated Dying Light‘s birthday by making a compilation video of all the content, add-ons and patches they have released since the game launched. But there was more to the video than originally meets the eye. The compilation video also includes a teaser for new content DLC, with some exciting looking features; the biggest of which is the inclusion of vehicles. Tymon Smektala, producer for Dying Light had this to say:
“We’re really excited to finally be able to show this major project we’ve been secretly working on since the release of the game. This is Dying Light from totally new angle, but with everything fans love about the original still at the core.”
There will be a closed preview at Gamescom 2015, with a big public reveal coming soon after. Dying Light is one of Technlands most successful titles and the video shows why. The “180 days of content” video showcases six months of DLC and free-content drops that crafted Dying Light into a solid title separated from its spiritual predecessor Dead Island.
