If you were looking for DriveClub‘s PS Plus Edition and couldn’t find it yesterday, you’re not going crazy. You’re also not alone; many others were reporting the same problem.
Today, Paul Rustchynsky, DriveClub‘s Game Director, posted a message on Facebook regarding the PS Plus version’s status. It’s still coming, but we have to be a bit more patient.
In order to help all DRIVECLUB players who have the game already, we’re temporarily holding back the PS Plus Edition and the My DRIVECLUB app to ease the load and traffic to the servers. This should give players a better chance of connecting to the game servers and, once the servers are operating well, we’ll be sure to let you know when the PS Plus Edition and My DRIVECLUB app will be available to download.
The folks at Evolution Studios want to ensure “the best experience possible” for players before flipping the switch on the game’s PS Plus edition. They also want to make sure that paying customers are experiencing DriveClub‘s many social features without any hiccups or issues, which makes sense. The sad thing in all of this, though, is the fact that we’ve already seen DriveClub be delayed several times. It’s disappointing that even with the extra time in development, all of the kinks weren’t taken care of.
