Capcom announced today that they will be releasing a demo for their forthcoming third-person action RPG Dragon’s Dogma on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation network on April 24. The demo allows you to try out two of the classes from the full game, the Fighter and the Strider, in two “challenging encounters”. You also get a party of three “pawns” to follow you around and help out in your adventures. In addition, the demo will allow you to play around with character creation, customizing both your character and your main pawn.
Dragon’s Dogma is an open world action-RPG, developed by Capcom staffers who’s previous projects include games in both the Resident Evil and Devil May Cry series. So far, nine different playable classes have been revealed: Fighter, Warrior, Mystic Knight, Strider, Ranger, Assassin, Mage, Sorcerer and Magic Archer. The melee focused Figther and the nimble, bow and dagger wielding Strider are both playable in the upcoming demo.
Dragon’s Dogma is slated for a May 22 release in North America and May 25 in Europe for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. For more info on the game, check out the official website. And keep checking back here on the Game Fanatics for continuing coverage.
