It came first as a rumor but now it’s confirmed. Seasons of Heaven is a attractive indie game that will come exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. Check it out!
With the announcement of a new console comes the next question: ok, cool, but what about the games? The Nintendo Switch is arriving in March 2017 and of course we should expect more and more titles surfacing on the lists. We know of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, of course, and now we can look forward to another one called Seasons of Heaven. You should keep this one on your radar because it looks both enigmatic and mesmerizing. The first leak happened yesterday, followed by its official confirmation.
Seasons of Heaven: What We Know So Far
Seasons of Heaven comes from the indie ovens of French studio AnyArts Productions and runs on the Unreal Engine 4. Don’t be fooled by the majestic nature and the stillness of the screenshots though. The game is inspired by a French novel of the same time which portrays the (mis)adventures of a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world. And really, nothing in that world is child-friendly. Animals are pretty much extinct, water is a precious thing when not contaminated and civilization is torn apart.
The game centers around Yann, a young boy with Asperger’s syndrome, and his French bulldog. In the book, the two of them share a telepathic connection and this seems to be one of the key gameplay foundations for Seasons of Heaven. In other words, the ability of controlling both characters across the map to overcome the obstacles we may face.
It’s maybe too early to venture into the specifics of the maps. But the presence of some puzzle-like elements could give us more clues of what to expect. In any case, we should not wait too long before we have the next reveal, in the form of in-game footage. Needless to say, the Fanatics will be here to cover those for you!
A bunch of first exclusive images have also surfaced along with the release. We leave you with some of them – enjoy!
