Dead Island Ships More Than 1 Million Units In North America

Deep Silver have announced that they have shipped more than 1 million copies of Dead Island in North America, in the first few days of availability. It is relaxing at the top of gaming charts in many global markets, and will have sold 2 million copies by the end of this week to retailers worldwide.

Dead Island has been received very well, with critics from all over the U.S generally giving it good reviews. Geoff Mulligan, Chief Operating Officer at Deep Silver says,

“We’re thrilled at the retail reception Dead Island has achieved in its first few days”

“The critical ‘first week’ of game sales has been an enormous sales success for Deep Silver. We’re working quickly with our distribution partner in North America, Square Enix, to restock shelves as quickly as we can.”

With so many people playing Dead Island, it’s safe to say that we’ll be fully prepared when the impending zombie uprising finally happens.
