If you’re playing Dead Island and find yourself collecting the various facts, ID cards, and recordings, you might also find yourself a bit frustrated fending off zombies whilst trying to search every nook and cranny of Banoi for every scrap of evidence.
Here’s where the Official Dead Island map app comes in.
The app is a map of all the areas of the game, with markers of what collectibles you can find where.
Personally, I found the app to be distracting for a first play through but great for a second more thorough playing. On my first go at the game I wasn’t super interested in the minutia so much as the mechanics and big quests.
The app is useful and accurate. It’s beautifully put together and lets you track your progress when you collect items. However, it can be a bit of a battery hog if you just open it and leave it open while you play.. This might be less of an issue since you’re most likely to be at home using the app. You do have the option of turning off the music and sound effects.
The app is available from iTunes
