Ubisoft has announced that they have updated the release for Far Cry 3. The third installment in the acclaimed FPS series will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC on December 4 in the US and a bit earlier in Europe on November 29.
Each installment in the Far Cry series has been markedly different with only passing similarities, most notably how each game takes place mainly in a wild, untamed setting. For this latest entry, players will take on the role of Jason Brody, a man stranded on a mysterious tropical island. The choices you make, whether it be how you approach combat or who you choose as your allies or enemies, will uniquely influence your experience. We’ve already seen some pretty impressive screens and trailers for the game emphasizing the immersive environments and the player’s freedom of choice.
“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience,” said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft. “Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players.”
