Cross-Platform Craziness With Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure

Getting kids into gaming can be tricky sometimes, you don’t want to throw them in the deep end with a hardcore RPG but at the same time you want to steer them away from games like Call of Duty: Black Ops. So what do you do? well what you should do is give them a game that interactively uses toys, multiple platforms and is entirely awesome, something like Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure.

Using a combination of  toys and multiple gaming platforms, this promises to be a title that will really draw kids in and have them playing for hours. Kids can collect up to 30 different toys which will not only interactive with the game itself, via the Portal of Power, but remember their progress making for seamless transition between different consoles.

Story wise , Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure is set in a world where the sinister Portal Master Kaos has cast them out of the Skylands and banished them to earth, where they are frozen and appear to look like toys. But they are very much alive on the inside and only young gamers can free them by placing them on the Portal of Power so they can return to the Skylands and defeat Kaos.

“Everyone at Activision and Toys for Bob has poured a tremendous amount of passion, imagination and love into creating Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure…And while it’s certainly gratifying to receive recognition from the likes of Toy Insider and Time to Play, we are most excited to share Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure with the most important audience of all, young gamers everywhere.”

Using a combination of Activision’s in-house talent and some Hollywood magic this game will really bring it’s world to life in a way that will engage it’s audience in a vast world of single player adventure, co-op gameplay, battle modes, puzzle solving and treasure hunts. The toys and game are available from all major toy and game retail outlets and are available now!
