Chaos;Child Announced For A 2017 Release

Over the past few years, we’ve seen an increase of visual novel across consoles and mobile devices. PQube decided to throw its hat into the proverbial ring with Chaos;Child. The publisher will be bringing MAGES and 5pb’s acclaimed visual novel Chaos;Child to PS4 and PS Vita in North America sometime later this year.

Chaos;Child is part of the Science Adventure Series; which also includes the critically acclaimed Steins;Gate. The game will take players to Shibuya, Tokyo where they’ll follow Takuru Miyashiro, a high school student who lost his parent in a major earthquake that almost destroyed the entire district.

It will be up to Miyashiro and his friends to solve a series bizarre murder cases. The protagonist notices that dates of the murders matches with murders that took place six years prior. Thanks to this helpful clue, the group of high schoolers might be getting into something that’s over their heads.

Chaos;Child is a sequel to the 2008 Chaos;Head which was a Japan only title and the first title in the Science Adventure Series.

PQube hasn’t nailed down an exact release date, however they stated the game will be available during Q3 2017; which means anywhere between July and September. Visual novel fans might to keep an eye on this one. If you’re a fan of importing titles, the game has been available in Japan for PS3, PS4, PS Vita and Xbox One for a few years. Earlier this year in Japan, Silver Link released an anime based on the game.
