In Case You Missed It – Week of December 5th – 11th, 2016

*Yawn* How long have I been gone!? What year is it?! WHAT HAVE I MISSED???

If you’ve missed In Case You Missed It, allow me to provide some personal info. Finals. That is all you need to know about what has put the feature on hiatus. In the meantime, I’ll be glad to provide you all with the gaming news you might have missed in another ICYMI!

In Case You Missed Hearing About Someone Else’s Mistakes…

PC Gamer provided the Internet with a rather humorous, though brief, glance at how difficult it can be to be a games journalist. Earlier on Sunday, PC Gamer posted a story on Dota 2’s new patch, but they accidentally mixed up the developers. In this case, they mistook Blizzard (developer for Overwatch) for Valve (Dota 2, among other games with ‘2’ in the title), listing the former for the later repeatedly. One would assume that the ladies and gents at PC Gamer would have caught such an error on the way out, but this wasnn’t thee caaase. It’s been fixed by now, but the Internet probably won’t be forgetting this little incident for a while. Then again, maybe we should be a little forgiving. Typing is haard, yall.

In Case You Missed Info on Free/Discounted Games…

Here’s a double feature for ya, Humble Bundle is currently hosting the Yogscast Jingle Jam 2016, a charity event to raise funds for multiple charities for the holidays. Unlike previous bundles, $1 won’t get you anything. Instead, there are the $5 “DATLOF and a Shout-out” and the $30 “WHAT’S IN THE BOXES?” bundle. New games are being added to the bundle daily, meaning you get 31 items for only $1 each!

If you are more into the “free” category, Twitch Prime members can get Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season One for free until 12/13! Which would be…tomorrow? So act quickly!

In Case You Missed That OTHER Game by Kojima…

P.T., meet the Internet. Some dedicated NeoGAF users managed to dig around in the Playable Teaser for the canceled Silent Hills game and found some…curious models. What were they for? Don’t know. What will they be used for? Things like this:

Hehehe.

Unfortunately, that’s all I can scrounge up for now. There were a lot of things I would have loved to cover, but some of my fellow journalists here on the Game Fanatics caught ’em first! Be sure to check out Eva’s write-up on the Switch-exclusive Seasons of Heaven as well as Funke Joseph’s piece on the Lab Zero/Studio Trigger team up. Until next time, this has been In Case You Missed It!
