Call of Duty: Ghosts Squads Multiplayer Mode Announced

Bringing a new level of competitive play to Call of Duty online, welcome Squads: a new, tactical way to play (Call of Duty online) that combines impressive AI and the enhanced Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer experience.  Giving you the option to play with AI and with friends or against AI and against friends, Squads presents a new challenge for those who like to win, play competitively, or like to play with a group that they get to control.

Within Squads, there are multiple different game modes you can play, where each mode presents a different challenge, as you battle against AI that perform like real players by using the same tactics that you see in other multiplayer modes.  You can equip your own squad or play cooperatively with friends.  The modes within Squads are:

  • Wargameplay with your team of friends or AI soldiers against a team of AI soldiers that scale difficulty to match your skill level
  • Squad Assaultco-op mode where you and your friends can challenge offline squads; the player picks the map and mode, and you fight to win
  • Squad vs. Squadyou and your squad vs. another player and their squad
  • Safeguardco-op survival mode where your squad tries to last as long as they can against waves of enemies

Squads gives Call of Duty players the chance to show off their skills by allowing players to customize everything about their squad: soldiers, loadouts, perks, the whole nine; giving players this kind of control enables them to reign supreme in this battle royale of multiplayer mayhem.  One of the best parts about all of this, is that all XP you earn in Squads will carry over to your multiplayer profile so you can learn and level up.
