Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Add-On Pack Date Released

It has been confirmed that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is receiving some more add-on content titled the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught. The DLC is coming to Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Steam on the 16th of December along with an update that adds a third playthrough for players!

The add-on pack includes cameos from Vault Hunters Gaige and Axton, who returned to the Crimson Raiders Headquarters. Since they both were away on a mission, they didn’t get to witness the events of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, so they ask Athena to fill them in on what they missed. Being the inpatient Vault Hunters that they are, they only want an abbreviated version of the events, a.k.a all of the fun, violent stuff.

With Athena telling the tale, players will be able to play through the Holodome Onslaught. The Holodome Onslaught is a new challenge arena where you’ll be given the chance to fight off waves of enemies, some of which include a couple the Pre-Sequel’s most memorable characters as well as several new enemies. Players will be able to earn new weapons, class mods, and even new heads and skins.

The add-on pack also includes some bonus content in the form of the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, which raises the level cap up to 60. This gives each of your characters 10 new levels as well as 10 new skill points to earn.

The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack: The Holodome Onslaught is included with the purchase of the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, but the pack itself will be available for purchase for $9.99. The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass is available for $29.99 and allows access to all four add-on content packs as they become available on PSN, Xbox Live, Windows PC, Linux and Mac.The pack also includes the Handsome Jack Doppleganger Pack, making the Borderland 2 antagonist playable for the first time.

There will be a patch next week for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel that adds a third playthrough, Ultimate Vault Hunter mode, which raises the difficulty and adds the option to reset campaign progress at any time. Enemies will also be scaled up to your current level. Plans for future content include one more playable character in addition to a new campaign, so be on the look out for more Pre-Sequel updates in the coming months!
