Blizzard Finally Launches Diablo III Real Money Auction House

After all the delays, Diablo III owners can now attempt their dreams and make some cash while playing the game, as Blizzard has launched the real money auction house in the Americas region.

There are, however, a couple of caveats: first and foremost, you’ll need an authenticator, which are free with any smartphone anyway. Second, if you’d like to get cash for your transactions, and I assume that you do, you’ll need a PayPal account.

As with the rest of the Diablo III launch, the real money auction house is a bit buggy, with some players complaining about their auctions not properly posting and certain items not being available. In addition, as you can expect, the market is in all sorts of shambles with people hoping to make extra money off of desperate players. Give it a week or two and everything should balance out. Just remember that Blizzard will be taking a cut of the money, so don’t quit your day jobs.
