We’ve seen John Shepard in the spotlight for Mass Effect 1 & 2 however in the game you can choose your sex. Shepard being male is cannon but that doesn’t stop gamers from playing as a female Shepard.
Bioware has listened and will display a trailer featuring Jane Shepard. Even the collector’s edition of Mass Effect 3 will feature both male and female Shepard.
Hopefully the look of what Bioware perceives Jane Shepard as will be a nice and heroic look for her, which she deserves.
Jane Shepard is voiced by Jennifer Hale, who has done a lot of voice acting over the years, including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Some gamers have said that the voice acting of female Shepard is slightly better than male Shepard.
Mass Effect 3 will be hitting our Ps3 and XB360 systems in March 2012.
