When BioShock was released, it came with a pretty impressive collector’s edition featuring a Big Daddy figurine. But Ken Levine has outdone himself for BioShock Infinite.
As the norm seems to be these days, 2K Games and Irrational Games have prepared two different collector’s editions.
First, there’s the Premium Edition. $79.99 will net you a “giant pile of swag,” as Levine puts it:
—A 3-inch baby version keychain of the sold-out Murder of Crows vigor bottle replica.
—A 5 x 7-inch lithograph by Jorge Lacera.
—A 25 millimeter, resin-cast Handyman miniature from the upcoming BioShock Infinite board game by Plaid Hat Games, makers of Summoner Wars.
—A mini art book, full of BioShock Infinite concept art and commentary, with a hand-distressed cover.
—Various digital goodies: exclusive in-game gear, a digital soundtrack, and platform specific downloadable content (Avatars for Xbox LIVE, and Themes for PC and PlayStation 3).
But wait, where’s the statue we all enjoyed the first time around? It’s in the Ultimate Songbird Edition ($149.99), featuring a 9.75″ statue of, you guessed it, a Songbird. The statue itself is designed by Robb Waters, concept artist for Irrational Games, and comes in packaging inspired by Columbia.
So there you have it. Two collector’s editions to choose from on February 26, 2013.
