Bethesda’s and Arkane’s latest game, Dishonored, has released today and is now available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
Dishonored has been receiving generally favorable reviews across the board. Sites such as NBCNews.com, who awarded the game a 10 out of 10 and called the game “Outstanding”. The Escapist, which also awarded the game a perfect score added “Dishonored is smart enough to know not to try too hard to impress you, and as a result, it will blow you away.” Destructoid.com states “Dishonored is that game of 2012” while Kotaku calls the game “nothing short of a masterpiece.” Current Metacritic score is at 91 out of 100 at 15 positive reviews only. Very impressive so far.
Dishonored features an all-star voice cast of actors including Academy Award winner, Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise, Dead Man Walking), Golden Globe winner, Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings trilogy, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest), Emmy Award nominees Carrie Fisher (Star Wars trilogy) and John Slattery (Mad Men), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill) and Lena Headey (300, Game of Thrones). Also Composer Daniel Licht (Dexter) will be providing his musical talents to create the game’s original score.
Now that you know a little bit more about the game, and see how pretty awesome reviews it is getting so far, you should sneak out and snag a copy of your own to play! By snag, I mean purchase… We don’t condone thievery… save that for the game. I know I am particularly looking forward to Dishonored and can’t wait to get my hands on it as soon as possible! Juggling Resident Evil 6 and Pokemon White 2 is tough as it is, adding Dishonored to mix and then Assassin’s Creed III at the end of the month, I just can’t do it! Have you played Dishonored yet? Let us know in the comments what you think of it so far, and look forward to our own review coming soon enough.
