Beta for The Old Republic hits 1.5 Million Gamers

Once the announcement came to sign up for the beta for Bioware’s MMO, The Old Republic, many gamers flocked to their webpage to sign up. So many in fact, that it brought down the servers. Since that time, the number of gamers that have signed up for the beta is now at 1.5 million. The beta isn’t even out yet, we have no idea when and we think (hope, really) that the game will launch this year, yet the faithful are signing up in hopes to play this MMO as soon as possible.

SWTOR will use voice actors for all characters, NPCs included, will feature a deep and rich storyline and will only be available on PC.

Could Star Wars: The Old Republic be the WoW killer that we’ve been looking for?
