Hold on to your hat folks, as the Twitter you know today will receive a complete facelift in the weeks to come. There is no exact time frame as to when the release will go public, as is expected when it comes to a service that affects around 160 million people.
Of course, the main thing on peoples mind is API restructuring, which has been confirmed by @goldman saying that the API architecture has indeed been changed. However, one thing that has also been the subject of much discussion is multiple account support, which will not be included in this version.
As you can see, the site will move from the tradition one-pane view to a two-pane view with an expanded right column featuring pictures and videos.
If you look at the top, you’ll see a nice, cliche web 2.0 bar that includes a search bar, and the old links that could be found at the top of the old twitter look.
This looks incredibly interesting, and some people have already began to experience the new twitter due to the world-wide rollout. What do you guys think? Is change good in this case?
