Battlefield: Bad Company 2 sold 2.3 Million says EA

Despite  Modern Warfare 2 still has the edge on week one sales, DICE and EA are proud to announce that their latest game, Bad Company 2, is being played by 2.3 million people. The company also states that this is record for top selling March title in North America and Europe. Here are some fun facts about the game:

  • 81B points have been earned in online multiplayer sessions
  • 43M weapons and gadgets have been unlocked in online multiplayer
  • Over 6M video views on YouTube
  • 2.9M hours have been spent playing online in the last 24 hours alone
  • 230K peak-concurrent-users (PCUs)
  • Over 44k Twitter fans (most out of any EA title)

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was released March 2 on the Playstation 3, PC, and Xbox 360.
