More bad news hits Dice/EA, and this news affects Battlefield 4 players directly.
If you own a copy of Battlefield 4 and play it often, you may have notice a little alert banner on the main screen detailing a little info on the double XP event that was supposed to run three days, until the end of 2013. Well, it didn’t happen, and Dice didn’t provide any reason as to why it has been delayed.
So when is the event going to take place now? It now starts on January 3, 2014, at 5AM PST/1PM UTC.
This delay follows a whole slew of problems that Dice and EA are working through from the launch of Battlefield 4. From the corrupted/self-deleting save files on the PS4, to the buggy multiplayer, still riddled with lag and significant frame drops, on Xbox One and PS4, it really does appear that the game was not ready to launch when it did. I know it irritated me that I had to finish the campaign in one session if I didn’t want to find that my campaign file never saved, despite three hours of progression.
Dice, if you’re reading this, please do Battlefront right. I don’t think I can handle one of my most favorite franchises in history to be plagued like Battlefield. And also, can you prod EA to revive Republic Commandos? Thanks!
