Gamers beat enemies in battles. Breakers battle enemies with beats. Players can now fuse both fights with Break Blocks, the debut title recently released by Greater Good Games.
The puzzle-based action game is available now on PC at a “Pay-What-You-Want” purchase price that benefits charity.
Using the coordination-driven mechanics similar to games such as Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution, Break Blocks relies on the player’s ability to connect similarly colored squares to the beat of the game’s soundtrack. Rotate the circular “dance floor” to place primary and secondary colored pieces together as they’re uncovered at random. Matching the blocks in time with the song allows the player to perform moves and defeat thirteen different genre-based challengers, including pirate-costumed “Captain Shuffles” and jazzy beatnik breaker “Beau Hemian”. A portion of the proceeds from the indie game’s sales will fund “Doctors Without Borders”, an organization that benefits victims of violence, neglect and catastrophe. To name your price and baby rock your way into the game, visit http://greatergoodgames.org.
