ASUS Republic of Gamers Launches Pugio Gaming Mouse

Pugio mouse

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the release of their Pugio mouse for ambidextrous gaming. The mouse features customizable buttons to suit any gaming style along with push-fit sockets to adjust click resistance. ASUS touts this mouse as the ultimate way to fit either left or right handed gamers without many of the annoyance that comes from mirrored buttons.

The Pugio mouse has programmable side buttons on both sides of the mouse. These side buttons however can be uncomfortable and distracting even when disabled. ASUS solved this problem by allowing the buttons to be removed and replaced with surface plates to ensure a comfortable feel in your hand while gaming. Because of this customization you are free to use two, four, or no side buttons depending on your gaming preference.

The mouse also features Omron® ultra durable mouse switches that are rated up to 50 million mouse clicks. Additionally, the mouse comes packed with an extra set of switches to customize the out-of-the-box click feel to make any gamer happy.

The ROG Pugio mouse boasts a gaming-designed 7200 DPI optical sensor, 150 IPS tracking speed and 30g acceleration to ensure speed, resolution, and accuracy. A dedicated DPI switch allows for instant switching between sensitivity levels as well as an indicator to show current settings. The mouse includes a separate button design that lowers the force and travel distance required per click, resulting in a faster and more tactile button response.

Customizable lighting syncing of your Pugio mouse with other Aura Sync enabled products gives your gaming station a polished esthetic. To sync lighting between the ROG Pugio and ROG Claymore keyboard you just have to press the ROG Sync hotkey to complete the tailored look.

Pugio also includes the ROG Armoury software that lets you adjust settings to suit your gaming style. You can set RGB lighting effects, adjust performance, calibration settings, program, map buttons, create profiles and more.

The ASUS ROG Pugio is available now at ASUS resellers for $89.99.
