ASTRO Gamings New Headsets Are Perfect For Xbox One Audiophiles

ASTRO’s A50 Wireless and A40 headsets have finally arrived for a truly personal 7.1 Surround experience on the Xbox One.

ASTRO Gaming are known for their premium gaming equipment with plenty of headsets available for the PC and previous console iterations, however this is their first venture on Microsoft’s latest console. The two new devices are the redesigned ASTRO Gaming A40 + MixAmp and the ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless System, both optimized with the Xbox One in mind in terms of true surround experience and aesthetic design.

Astro A50
The ASTRO A50 White Edition will go nicely with the new White Xbox One!

The ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless has opted for the classic console coloring with black and green or the white version if you want something sleek to match up with your Sunset Overdrive White Xbox One at the end of this month! The ASTRO Gaming A40 + MixAmp looks a little more Cyberpunk in design with a color-scheme that wouldn’t look out of place with the ‘Deckers’ gang in Saints Row: The Third

“The Xbox One provides intense, high quality game, movie and music experiences and we’re providing new ASTRO audio experiences to match the incredible visuals the Xbox One delivers,” – Aron Drayer, VP of Marketing at ASTRO Gaming

The ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless System for Xbox One is an officially licensed headset promising hours of playtime whether it be audio intense games, movies or music. The A50 will also sport embedded controls for it’s ASTRO MixAmp 5.8 technology allowing the gamer to adjust Master and VOIP volume on the fly for easier transition and maximum ease. Even the general receiver for the headset is pretty impressive not only working on KleerNets 5.8GHz Wireless Technology as to not interfere with other wireless peripherals but it also supports multiple ASTRO A50 headsets to connect to the same transmitter.

Astro A40
The Astro A40 and External MixAmp Controller are supremely cool in design

ASTRO’s second headset, the A40 + MixAmp, packs it’s own punch. Despite not being wireless like the A50 it’s design is no less impressive, and it comes with one of the most extensive external media controllers we have seen for Xbox One so far including controls for In-line mics, boom mics, music control, pick-up and standard volume control wheel. The afore mentioned boom mic is a precise, noise-cancelling microphone which can actually be removed and installed on either side of the A40 headset for the best level of customization and comfort possible.

With the holiday season dawning upon us ASTRO’s new gaming headsets, though not cheap (in price and build quality), are certainly a force to be reckoned with and may end up being the premium peripheral that every Xbox One owner and Audiophile needs to own.
