For those that have played through any game of the Assassin’s Creed series, you know that the backdrop for these games always take place during historical events or periods. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag takes place during the dawn of the 18th Century which is considered the Golden Age of Pirates. This installment of Assassin’s Creed will include a heavy focus on naval combat, really giving players the feel of a pirates life, full of adventure experiencing violence and turbulent times exploring the West Indies.
Ubisoft has released the latest trailer giving us a glimpse into what Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is all about. Edward Kenway is Black Flag’s main protagonist, and following in the same foot steps of Assassin’s Creed III, his story is separate and unique to the Assassin’s Creed lineage. Part of Britain’s Royal Navy, Edward Kenway becomes a pirate after the end of the war between the major Empires. Edward, already skilled in combat, is a fierce pirate and becomes involved in the never ending battle between the Templar’s and the Assassin’s.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is set to release October 29, 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U. Black Flag will also be released on the upcoming PlayStation 4 and other next generation consoles.
