Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Set for Sail on the Xbox One

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is ready for sale for the Xbox One, making it’s final push into the next generation of consoles. Black Flag has already been available for the consoles we will soon be able to refer to as “last-gen”. Last week it was available for the PlayStation 4 when it launched, but with the Xbox One around the corner, it’ll be completing it’s push on all consoles. It will also be available for PC in three different packages.

Ubisoft has also announced the Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag season pass for $19.99. The season pass will include Freedom Cry. Freedom Cry will a story be more than 4 hours long, featuring Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale, the exclusive Kraken Ship Pack, additional single-player missions, weapons, skins and collectibles, as well as new characters for an expansive multiplayer experience.

Recently, Sony snagged itself a 6 month exclusivity period to Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Watchdogs DLC, so if you can’t wait to get your hands on the DLC the best place to get the game would be for the PlayStation 4. If DLC is something you can wait for, the season pass will be available on all platforms except for the Wii U.

The PC version of Black Flag will come in the following editions:

  • The Standard Edition, available as retail or digital formats.

  • The Gold Edition with Season Pass, a premium edition including the game, as well as bonus in-game content including new locations to discover and explore, additional customization items and a new adventure starring Aveline as the main character.

  • The Uplay Gold Edition with Season Pass, an exclusive digital package including all the contents from the Gold Edition, plus an additional in-game pack, Pride of the West Indies. This bonus content is exclusive to the Uplay GOLD edition, and is available for pre-order.

And speaking of Xbox One, if you’re in Houston, be sure to stop by the Microsoft Store in the Galleria for our midnight launch event. There will be prizes!
