Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Naval and Fort Commentary Walkthrough Released

October is quickly approaching, and that can only mean one thing, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag is almost here. Ubisoft is hoping to pump some new life into the long running Assassin’s Creed series by giving players a whole new way to play. Naval combat is a new element that has never been as engrossing as it is looking to be in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video from Gamescom, which is a walkthrough of some naval combat, and naval fort take over with commentary from game director Ashraf Ismail. Once again, Ashraf Ismail, guides viewers through a mission involving Edward Kenway early on in the game, in the verge of taking over a fort. However, before taking the fort, he must combat against two enemy ships protecting the target fort. Ismail explains how there are a variety of different elements that can create a more difficult battle for Edward Kenway and his crew, including more enemy ships, hurricanes, and other environmental obstructions.

Throughout the video, viewers watch Edward Kenway and his ship launch mortars, and cannon balls to take down the enemy ships and the two towers defending the fort. An exciting moment in the video is watching Edward Kenway seamlessly jumps from his ship, into the water and switch into assassin mode. As the battle moves to the fort, Edward can rush through the battlefield and rush assassinate the commander, but not before delivering a headshot to the officer standing in your way. Free aim with the pistol is new to the Assassin’s Creed series and allows the player to have more freedom when using firearms.

Continuing the success of Assassin’s Creed III, Ubisoft is ready to blow players away with the naval combat and island exploration players will experience in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag releasing October 29, 2013 on PlayStation 3, PC, Wii U, and Xbox 360.

If you are even thinking about buying Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, check out this great sneak peak with the new naval combat gameplay commentary video.
