The first two Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content packs are now available for download for the Nintendo Wii U through the Nintendo eShop. The Hidden Secrets pack, priced at $4.99, is a boost to your single player Assassin’s Creed III experience. It includes the missions The Lost Mayan Ruins, The Ghost of War and A Dangerous Secret, for an additional hour of gameplay, taking gamers from the lost Mayan ruins to the high seas and rewarding you with unique and rare weapons after every mission. You’ll also get two new single-player costumes: Captain of the Aquila and Colonial Assassin, and two new multiplayer characters: the Redcoat and the Sharpshooter.
Or you could spend $9.99 on the Battle Hardened pack, which gives you three multiplayer characters – the Governor, the Highlander and the Coyote Man, and adds Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu and Saint Pierre to your playable maps.
This catches the Wii U up to everyone else; the packs had already been released on PC, the PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live. Ubisoft also announced that the next batch of DLC is called The Tyranny of King Washington, an alternate-reality mission set on taking down one of the Founding Fathers of the United States after he becomes drunk with power… but there’s no release date yet.
