UPDATE According to VG247, Warner Bros confirmed that the release date is not in October. Deatils below:
“The ‘German web site tags Arkham Asylum 2 for October’ story is based on inaccurate information on the German Warner site,” said a rep in an emailed statement.
“That information was taken down a couple of hours ago, accordingly.
“We haven’t announced a release date for the sequel to Batman Arkham Asylum yet and I’ll let you know as soon as we have any news.”
Speaking on the phone, the spokesman said the sequel’s release date is “not October”.
Warner Bros. Interactive has given a tentative October 2010 release window for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2.
That’s according to a listing on the German portal of the company’s website, which shows the Rocksteady caper down for a release at that period.
The game was revealed at the VGAs back in December, with a teaser trailer which indicated Arkham was moved inside Gotham City itself.
Since then, other then Warner taking over as publisher from Eidos, nothing has been mentioned on the sequel, although a Game of the Year version of the original has been listed.
Thanks, PC Games.
