ARK: Survival Evolved – Still in a Pre-Alpha State

Ark Survival Evolved

Jesse Rapczak, creative director of ARK: Survival Evolved, reassures players. The game is still at pre-alpha stage but everything will be ready for official launch.

ARK is a game that has generated a great deal of anticipation since its announcement. Wildcard, the studio behind this Jurassic survival MMO, surpassed last year their expectations with the early access version for their Xbox One (there is another one for PC). The demand was such that they needed to increase the sever quantity on the Microsoft version.

Wildcard has not reached an agreement with PlayStation 4 for that early access. They would certainly like so but the implementation does not depend on them since Sony does not possess that kind of program at the moment. It seems quite unlikely that this will never happen since clock is ticking on Wildcard’s side and they have more urgent issues to deal with.

The official launch of ARK: Survival Evolved is scheduled for June, just around the corner. The final date is yet undisclosed.

The game is continuously unfolding and shooting updates at us that mainly incorporate new beasts, features and performance improvements. One of the biggest updates that Xbox One users are waiting is the one that will bring a 2-player local split-screen early this year. However, not all is golden around the hype for ARK: Survival Evolved. Some critics have already risen, pinpointing to optimization problems as well as unfinished content.

Jeff Rapzak, creative director and co-founder of Wildcard, appeared to answer these with the following announcement on Twitter:

ARK: Survival Evolved

With this brief declaration Jesse Rapczak probably wants to ease the spirits of the loyal player base that sees the launch date getting closer rapidly. It seems that promising things are coming. But whether ARK: Survival Evolved will live up to the expectations they have created remains to be seen.

You can always give a try to this universe by purchasing your Early Access version on Steam or the Xbox One store.
