Apple says iPad sold over 300k in US

Looks like that not every thought that the new Apple product would be a joke.

According to the company, via Gamasutra, the iPad sold over 300,000 devices in the US alone. Also, Apple confirmed that 1 million Apps were downloaded for the tablet device across the weekend, with over 250k of books sold from its iBookstore day one.

Apples CEO, Steve Jobs, should be happy with numbers like these. As a matter of fact, take a look at what he had to say.

“It feels great to have the iPad launched into the world—it’s going to be a game changer. iPad users, on average, downloaded more than three apps and close to one book within hours of unpacking their new iPad.”

As of right now, there is no date when the new tablet will be released in other countries other than the States.

If you picked one up, leave a comment and tell us about your experience.
