The Legend of Zelda series means a lot of things to a lot of people. Particularly, it means a lot to the people who make them. In the 25 years that we’ve been playing them, each game is so wonderfully crafted and polished that the mere announcement of a new game can make grown men cry. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is only weeks away, but the team behind the legend already has plans for the new game.
“We are already preparing a new game, a game in the series for the Nintendo 3DS, but don’t think that it is a direct sequel to the Zelda titles released on DS. We are talking about a new game, but it takes much of what has been done on previous consoles.”
In an interview with Gameinformer, Aonuma has already stated that “having 3D will mean something.” With the brilliant minds at Nintendo, I have no doubt that they can pull it off. After all, you don’t make great games for two and a half decades without knowing something.
