Another Reason to Grab a PS4: UNCHARTED

At last night’s “Greatness Awaits” event celebrating the midnight launch of the PS4, Naughty Dog stole the show with not only one big announcement (The Last of Us DLC finally) but they delivered some exciting news that everyone has been waiting for since Uncharted 3‘s release!  Here it is, gamers; welcome a new Uncharted game for the next-generation of PlayStation.

“Some chains can never be broken.  I lost 15 years, buried alive, erased… you left me, rotting in that hell hole and never looked back; but you can’t outrun the past and when it catches up, when all your lies collapse around you, I’ll be there sifting through the wreckage.  You owe me.”

With no known title (will it actually be called Uncharted 4?) and no major understanding of the plot, this teaser trailer is a complete mystery that leaves everyone skeptical.  Based on the trailer, I personally get the sense of someone else’s revenge tale which could be interesting, but also leaves me a little worrysome because of the obvious: where’s Nathan Drake?  Where’s the charming, witty hero that we all know and love?  I know I’m not alone in jumping to conclusions about his absence, but I do believe in Naughty Dog and their ability to bring things full circle and I’m sure this is just to throw us off… which, congratulations Dogs, you have done well.

Hopefully at the VGA’s this December, we’ll see a little more into the future of Uncharted, but for now, let the evil, daunting monologue resonate within you and drive you a little crazy.  As if you didn’t have enough reasons to purchase a PS4 this Holiday season, now you can add a new Uncharted chapter to the list!
