With Halo: The Master Chief Collection recently announced and Halo 5: Guardians in the works, 343 Industries is quite the busy team. However, a new Halo game might be in development at 343 Industries, according to a new job listing.
The job listing calls for a Senior Producer for an upcoming Halo project to “ensure the game hits the quality expected of a title within the franchise.” The Senior Producer will “help develop a new project line in the Halo universe.” This could mean a spin-off game to the series, much like Halo 3: ODST was. The listing also needs someone who can “build a strong working relationship with the game development team and help them with any obstacles to ensure that the game is ‘fun’ and on time.”
From the sounds of it, Microsoft may have set plans and release windows for the franchise in the future that may even go past the currently announced installments.
It will be interesting to see what this is when Microsoft officially announces it.
