Amazon Sold Loads of Call of Duty, Fallout 4 and Battlefront in December

Amazon Prime

Amazon has revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront were their best selling games of the 2015 holiday.

The news came in a press release meant to show the growth in Amazon Prime, the retailer’s $99 all-in-one subscription service, over the holiday season. Prime saw an increase of three-million users in the third week of December, which according to the e-commerce giant is a, “record-breaking holiday season,” for the service.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Fallout 4 and Star Wars Battlefront sat atop last month’s NPD Group’s ranking. Given the information Amazon has provided it is likely all three titles will be retaining their position on the NPD Group’s ranking. Of course, Amazon and the NPD Group do not provide exact numbers when it comes to sells. Meaning the correlation between Amazon, the largest online retailer, and the NPD Group’s rankings could be coincidental.

This adorable little thing will cost you around $150, and it’s worth every Imperial credit.

In addition to the great month Star Wars Battlefront had, the original Star Wars Trilogy had a great holiday season. The classic trilogy ranked in the top three for movies sold on Amazon, alongside Pixar’s Inside Out and Universal Pictures’ Minions. Star Wars showed its dominance outside of video games and movies, too. The app-controlled BB-8, the lovable droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, by Sphero also one of the best selling items of the holiday season — if you haven’t heard there’s a new Star Wars movie out and our review is here.
