All PR Companies Should Have a 12 Year Old Boy on Staff

Why should all PR companies have a 12 year old boy on staff? Remember the Yogi Bear movie poster? A big bear behind a wide-eyed little bear, with the tag line “Good things come in bears. Coming Soon.”  Any adolescent boy worth his salt would have caught that before it went to print.

In a press release today, it was announced that there’s a new game coming out for the Wii:

Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, announced today that S.C.A.T. is now available for download for the Wii Virtual Console. The game is rated E by the ESRB.

Really? S.C.A.T.? Not a single person on your staff thought that sounded familiar?  No one talked about this game they’re developing over a family dinner only to get a muffled snicker from any present pre-teen?

Not even a single adult who watches too much of the Discovery Network was able to chime in and mention that scat, is how you know what kinds of animals are around. Scat is how we know bears do in fact poop in the woods.

Scat is poop.

There’s even a website with a game where people look at pictures and decide if what they’re looking at is poop or food.

And now, S.C.A.T. is an actual game. Hopefully not a scatty one.

“S.C.A.T. is a top-notch shoot-’em-up classic!” said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume.  “It’s got intense action, awesome powerups, and 2-player co-op. No shooter fan should miss it!”

S.C.A.T. (Special Cybernetic Attack Team) is a shooter in the classic mold. An alien armada has come to destroy the Earth, and only you (and a friend in the 2-player co-op mode) can stop them! You’ll dodge waves of enemies, collect devastating powerups, and blast your way through fearsome bosses! S.C.A.T.’s unique twist on the formula is the two satellite weapons that orbit your character; these can be locked in at any angle to blast enemies above and below you, cover your back, or face forward with your main gun for an all-out frontal assault! It’s furious, fast-paced action that’ll put your gaming skills to the ultimate test!
