Alice: Madness Returns Free Storybook App & $10 Off the Game

The Alice: Madness Returns storybook, which bridges the gap between American McGee’s Alice and Alice: Madness Returns, is now available for free in the App Store for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch (US only).

Upon completing the interactive storybook, readers will receive a code to take $10 off the game Alice: Madness Returns at the EA Store.

The interactive storybook does set up the new game nicely. The interactive elements are entertaining and the art direction, as expected, is well done. The music is also fittingly haunting. But my favorite part was the Cheshire cat. When he sees your eyes he will open his, and if you smile at him he will smile back with that devilishly creepy, toothy grin of his. The free storybook is well worth the download even if it didn’t come with the discount.

The Alice: Madness Returns storybook will be made available internationally in the App Store, on Android smartphones and as a Facebook app in the coming days.

Alice: Madness Returns releases in North America on June 14th, Europe on June 16th.
