3 years after Afterfall InSanity was released, Intoxicate Studios has released Afterfall Reconquest. The first opportunity for players to get back into the Afterfall Universe, Reconquest takes a completely different approach to the gaming experience. Having a more immersive storyline, believable characters, and new gameplay mechanics, players can look forward to a story driven action shooter with interesting RPG elements.
In Afterfall Reconquest, players will step into a world wracked by a war ravaged world destroyed by the application of new and terrifying weapons. Two groups survived this military apocalypse: The lucky few that were within the ‘sanctuary cities’ hidden deep in the mounts, and an enigmatic group of survivors of which little is known exactly HOW they survived.
Players control a Reaper, which basically sounds like a post-apocalyptic vigilante. The driving force behind the protagonist’s adventure is the revenge of their parent’s death. Players will slay mutants across the countryside as they eventually get wrapped up in something much bigger.
We are really excited that Afterfall Reconquest will finally be available via Steam Early Access because this is something we’ve been working on hard for the past couple of months. We are really counting on gamers support and feedback about the game to learn what they like and what they don’t like, what should we improve or maybe what to add to make the game even better. We still have some time left until the release date so we’ll do our best to implement as many of those comments in the final game as possible. Afterfall Reconquest is divided into episodes, the game is available now via Steam Early Access for $6.99/£4.99/€6.99. Only the first episode has been released so far, which is about an hour long with the promise of more content to follow.
