Activision Publishing Highlighting a Wide Array of Titles at E3 2012

Publisher Activision looks like it has one of its strongest line-ups at E3 ever this year at E3 2012. They’ll be showcasing many well known fan favorites like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Skylanders Giants, and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.

Not to be outdone by the largely anticipated titles like the previously mentioned, titles like The Amazing Spider-Man, 007 Legends, and Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse will also be present at the Activision booth this year.

It’s no mystery that Black Ops 2 is a largely anticipated title among games in general, but especially so among the FPS category. We’ve largely seen Call of Duty take us back to the days of the World War and to the present and modern, but for the first time ever we’ll be propelled to the future. Black Ops 2 will take take us  to the year 2025. We’ll see advanced weaponry and robot and drone warfare. Black Ops 2 will introduce branching story lines for the first time ever in the franchise’s history and will also feature a heavy sandbox-style of gameplay. Still yet to be unveiled are the zombies and multiplayer modes for Black Ops 2. Hopefully we at least get a sneak peek of the two at this years E3.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be releasing for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Skylanders Giants will also be a strong frontrunner at the Activision booth this year. Skylanders Giants is the sequel to the best-selling game of 2012 as well as the best-selling children’s game of 2011. Expanding upon the lineup of collectible characters from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, Giants will introduce 16 new characters. Giants will introduce new Hero Challenges, more Battle Mode gameplay, and across the board integration between console, handheld, and mobile.

Skylanders Giants will be releasing for Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and mobile devices

Another largely anticipated title from Activision is Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Fall of Cybertron will take us back to the days when the autobots and decepticons were waging a war over control of their home planet, Cybertron. Players will fight on both sides of the war and experience the fall of a once magnificent and powerful utopia. Fall of Cybertron features the deepest customization in a Transformers game to date. After creating your own unique characters, fight against the autobots and decepticons online with your friends in a high action online experience. PC fans fear no more. Developer High Moon Studios is working hand in hand with developer Mercenary Technology to roll out a PC version of Fall of Cybertron for the eager and passionate PC fanbase.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be releasing for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on August 28th.

CEO of Activision Publishing, Eric Hirschberg said that
The level of creativity driving video games has never been greater.  Our industry has the greatest talent in the world and E3 gives us all a chance to showcase the innovative titles that will continue to make games the leading form of entertainment today. This year’s line-up is one of our strongest, and we can’t wait for our fans to see for themselves.
I could not agree more with Hirschberg. It’s a very impressive line-up of blockbuster triple a titles. If you’re attending E3 2012 be sure to check out the Activision booth for yourselves at the South Hall in booth #647.
