Going somewhere, Solo? Turns out, he’s not, as Harrison Ford will apparently reprise his role as Han Solo when Star Wars Episode VII is released in 2015.
The original report comes from Latino Review and was also published by Ain’t It Cool News, who mention Latino Review’s exceptional accuracy when it comes to reports like this.
If this is the case, it’ll be a change of heart from Ford, who has done his best to separate himself from the original Star Wars trilogy. There’s also now a strong sense of optimism regarding the quality of Star Wars Episode VII with Ford on board.
Whether or not he will have a full role or a cameo in the manner that Leonard Nimoy did in the Star Trek movie remains to be seen. But so long as Billy Dee Williams is also on board to reprise Lando Calrissian, I’ll personally be super duper happy.
As for the story that will be dealt with the movie? Yeah, that’s still being kept under tight wraps. Considering J.J. Abram’s history of succeeding in keeping plot details quiet, don’t expect any leaks for a long, long time. Heck, we don’t even know officially who the villain is in Star Trek Into Darkness, and that gets released in three months.
